You heard it here first! This is what I have been working on.
This is an organization I am starting in honor of my older sister Shauntel, who passed away last year from breast cancer. My sister served 20 years in the United States Air Force and was a fulltime registered nurse. My sister faced many challenges, but did not let them defeat her, she never yielded to any challenge. She was everything anyone could ever hope for in a sister, daughter, and friend. She was my greatest mentor, coach, and cheerleader. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it weren’t for her.
This organization will be her legacy. It will encompass everything that made her great, because it needs to be shared to help make this world better. It’s not often you find a group of women from several different backgrounds and points in their lives, come together for the greater good. I wouldn’t be here typing this message if it weren’t for the support and empowerment I received and continue to receive each day. We inspire each other without even realizing it. Our stories aren’t the same and we are all on different chapters, but we are all in this book called life. One person’s experience can help the next. Our stories aren’t our own, but for someone else to tell. What kind of story will be told about you? I want my story to be great and I want it to be told for generations to come.
This organization will be dedicated to the empowerment, growth, and development of all women. With a focus on mental health, women’s health, mentorship, and volunteering. We aren’t just focused on one particular demographic. We all face challenges and we can all benefit from assisting one another.
I have many initiatives in mind, but we must take baby steps. The beauty of this organization is that it is already global. The support isn’t just in one city, but all over the world. I would love to open a location in each major city. The first being Houston. Until then, networking and events will be planned by project managers in different parts of the world. This won’t be limited to just (insert whatever city you are reading this from), but wherever empowerment is needed, which is everywhere.
There will be scholarships given out annually.
We will partner with other organizations to provide resources that will be beneficial to those in need.
The opportunities and reach are limitless. I see this taking off and changing the way we support one another.
Again, we are in the early stages. This is an explanation of the intent of this soon to be nonprofit organization. This is the first step in changing the world. How will your story be told? Our story is going to be great. Join us on our journey of empowering all women.
Thank you
