At The End Of The Day

Quite a few know the story of how we made it to this point. The point of us being in Korea together at this time, but for the ones that don’t, it will be featured in a later post lol. Looking back none of that matters. My husband has been a constant in my life for the last 10 years. The settings may have changed, new characters have been introduced, and so far, together we have defeated the season villain. I will say that I love my supporting cast. They have helped to write and create the story of us. This is just a season that will be featured in our series of the Cofields.

Us being apart gave us an opportunity to do something different. I sometimes felt like my career was in his shadow, but that wasn’t the case. The last 90 days in Korea showed me that I was never in his shadow. I took a step back to care for our family. I always wanted to be a mother and that was and will always be my priority. The momentum and drive were always there but being away from my family allowed me to redirect that energy to the tasks that I am currently dealing with. Deon was taking care of the home front and building a stronger bond with the kiddos in that 90 days. It all worked out.

At the end of the day, my family is what matters. No matter where we are, home is where the heart is. If we get placed in the middle of the desert our love for each other will quench our thirst… well, not really… but that did sound nice right?!

We are starting our Korea Chronicles part 2. 10 years later and we are back in the barracks, how it all started. There is a reason for everything, so look out and continue to enjoy witnessing this journey.
